about me
I was born on March 28th 1988 in Recife, Pernambuco, Northeast of Brazil, but since the fall of 2019, I've been living in Lisbon, Portugal, with my wife Ana Luiza and our dog Chica.
My journey to become the professional I am today didn't start right out of high school, as I tried two other graduations before sticking to the Communication area. I ended up getting my bachelor's degree in Journalism in 2017, but I've been writing and creating content for much longer.
This tag cloud below contains most of my passions, interests and hobbies. Some of them are also topics I've wrote or published about, over the course of my career.
This is basically what goes through my mind and motivates me to create. Now, here's an infographic about how I do it, and the skillset I 've developed, which has allowed me to achieve my ultimate goal: deliver quality content.

what drives me
Writing has always been a hobby, but it started to get serious back in 2012, when I joined the Doentes por Futebol project.
While DPF thrived on social media, though, I had several experiences in traditional newspapers alongside Recife's finest journalists. This hands-on experience honed my writing, investigative and teamwork skills. But as graduation neared, Pernambuco's media landscape was shrinking fast.
At Universidade Católica de Pernambuco, I arrived a writer, but graduation called for a versatile journalist. The media scene in Recife demanded it. So, I tried to craft my skills beyond writing, diving into audio/video editing, on-camera presence, and visual storytelling through photography, illustration and graphic design.
My fascination with digital magazines sparked my graduation project and continues to fuel my research. Even launching my own digital publishing company allowed me to experiment with various projects, some of which you'll find in this very portfolio.
This project provided a crash course in digital magazine design, exploring page sizes, interactivity, and reader behavior through user feedback. However, Brazil's economic and political downturn back then forced a tough decision, so my wife and I began exploring a fresh start elsewhere.
Lisbon is now our home, where I balance studies with career development. From 2019 to 2024, I sharpened my language skills and customer interaction at Fujitsu, gaining valuable insights into global business and life. In October 2021, I joined Tech Mahindra as a Content Curator for the French and British markets in the Google News project.
From August 2023 to December 2023, my role evolved into a Subject Matter Expert, where I was responsible for training coworkers, keeping the team up to date regarding guidelines and providing performance insights through data analysis using Google Workspace tools. Since January, I've been assigned to work as a PQU Annotator in another Google project, training the company's AI tools such as Bard and Gemini.
